Cottonwood Cellars Label
All wines are $17.00/bottle except where noted.
2004 Cabernet Sauvignon This full bodied cabernet has currant, green pepper, and light
smoky oak on the nose, all of which repeat on the pallet, and
finish very smooth. Well balanced and integrated, this cab is
great with a lean steak such as sirloin. Grapes are from
Palisade and Olathe, CO.
2005 Classic Blend A full bodied
blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and
Cabernet Franc from our Cottonwood Vineyards which lives up
to it?s name. It has the fruit
attributes of all it's components in
a rich, jammy intensity which
appears in the pallet as well as
the nose. A wonderful wine with prime
steaks or Colorado
game.
2004 Merlot This medium bodied
merlot first hits the nose with black
cherry, blueberry, a cranberry
followed by tobacco and a
mineral note. The fruit flavors come through
with nice acidity,
giving way to light oak and light tannins on a medium
broad,
medium-long finish. Well balanced and structured with nice
integration. Pairs well with any red meat, and especially
nice with
lamb.
2005 Chardonnay - $14.00
A medium bodied dry
chardonnay with sweet aromas of herb,
grass, and green apples giving
way to flavors of lemon peel,
herb, green apple and slightly smoky,
finishing
medium-long and medium-broad. As it ages, this wine
continues
to get better. With nice acid and structure, this is a
great food wine
that goes well with seafood and roast chicken.
2008 Lemberger An Austrian
varietal, Lemberger is rapidly becoming
Colorado?s grape. A
light-bodied dry red, this wine has lots of
fruit flavor up front,
followed by an earthy note and light
toasted oak. Designed to go with
pork, it is very versatile with
food and works especially well with BBQ.

2008 Syrah
Made from Palisade grapes this Rhone style Syrah has ripe fruit
with a nice earthy tone. We have not fully defined this wine
yet. It has rich tannin and goes well with fatty steaks and other
red meat or rich cheeses.
2009 Pinot Noir
Not every year can produce a good Pinot Noir. It has deep rich
color and flavors of cherry, and nutty butter without tannic bite.
Smooth with medium to long finish. Put some in tomatoe based
spaghetti sauce and have the remainder with the meal. It pairs
well with brie, goat cheese and walnuts. Try it with tuna,
salmon and orange roughy.
2009 Gewurztraminer Opens with a fruity bouquet joined by sweet pear and grape-
fruit. Flavors of pear, grapefruit, and a hint of spice fill the
mouth then finish broad and short. The sweetness is well
balanced by bright acidity making it a very refreshing summer
quaffer. Crisp with a clean finish with no after taste. Pairs well
with Asian and/or spicy food, or nice to sip on a warm summer
evening. Off-Dry.
2010 White Pinot Noir -
$15.00
Lovely blush color and slightly Off Dry. Very fruity with light
cherry taste. Goes well with cheddar cheese, spicy and
Mexican food. One of our most popular wines last season and
this.
